Hello everyone,
My name is Miss Allen. It is really strange to write about me, but here we go. I started working at Cardinal Road School before my 21st birthday (for those of you who want to work it out I was born in 1974). On my first day I knew I had found a special place that put the children first always. The children, parents and staff were so lovely and welcoming, and still are. I love the funny things children do. I have been here so long I could write a book. My favourite things are; dancing, singing, reading, nice long walks and creating new songs and rhymes. My absolute favourite thing to do is to spend time with ‘the nephews.’
I believe that we must have high aims and standards for education. It is also my belief that young children should enjoy learning and that enthusiasm will stand them in good stead for the rest of their lives.
As Mary Poppins said, “In every job that must be done, there is an element of fun.”
