Autumn 2
Welcome back to school! This term our topic is
Around the world
We launched our topic by exploring some different countries around the world. We needed passports to cross the borders of each country so we designed our own passports and carried them with us. We got a stamp from each place we travelled! We planned our trip and each had an itinerary to follow. Can you guess which countries we visited?
Silver Class Assembly
A big well done to Silver Class for their performances in their class assembly. They shared lots of information and it was brilliant to see our school Aims and Values in action. We really loved the acapella singing and all the examples of our mission statement - Creating Opportunities.
Around the World Projects
Many of our children have been to different countries around the world. Their homework project was to learn about a different country and create a project that they could share with the class. There was a large variety of different countries and the children were all very interested in each others projects and had lots of questions. They loved sharing the information and they have worked very hard on their projects.
The Gurdwara
We have been learning about Sikhism this term. We were very lucky to have the opportunity to visit a Gurdwara in Hounslow. The children were very excited to catch the bus and travel to Hounslow. All the children enjoyed their tour of the Gurdwara and were very respectful during the visit, we our very proud of how they demonstrated our Aim and Values on our first trip since lockdown.
Gold Class Assembly
Fantastic work Gold Class on your lovely assembly: Around the World. The facts you shared about Akosombo in Ghana and Feltham were very interesting. The singing was great and you used loud, clear voices when speaking. It was lovely to hear all the welcomes from different countries.
