I am Ruth Stevens and am current Chair of Cardinal Road. As Chair I meet regularly with the Head, Mrs Nowak, and am a member of all committees - Personnel, Curriculum, Finance and Premises.
I started out as a Parent Governor when my sons attended Cardinal Road and the Governing Body was then combined with Victoria Junior School. I am still learning and am currently attending a Chair of Governors Leadership course.
I am also a Community Governor, as I live locally, and am involved with the local community through Feltham Arts Association and St Dunstan's church.
I try and become involved as much as possible at Cardinal Road and help with the library, changing books regularly for Year 2 pupils. I also work at Victoria Junior School as a Teaching Assistant and feel this is a good and valuable link as it is the main feeder school when our pupils transfer to the juniors. I attend parents evenings and so am available should parents wish to speak to me.
