My name is Ibrahim Yarow. I am a newly appointed Co-opted Governor. During the past ten years I worked with various non-governmental organisations in London to prevent children and youths from joining gangs or anything involving crimes. I also helped many parents on how to keep their children safe during the school holidays by referring them to free activity programs provided by local non-governmental organisations.
Currently, I am a member of United Somali Support UK Board of Directors. My decision to accept the role of Co-opted Governor is related to my solid belief that I can play an active role for the aims and objectives of the school in terms of education and allowing the children to learn and play in an environment free from gang culture, bullying and abuse.
